MY CREATIVE PROCESS
Throughout the duration of working on my Capstone, I found out a lot about my creative process. The biggest takeaway was that my process is incredibly messy: I often work in a crazy zig zag instead of a straight line from Point A to Point B. I started off with a lot of big, ambitious ideas for this process but quickly realized by working that I would have to change my approach, namely reducing the final length of my project. In the end, my project ended up being smaller in scope than I originally planned, but this change helped me focus more on fine-tuning my ideas. I tend to be a very disorganized person, so one method that helped me a lot was the Eisenhower Priority Matrix (Xebrio 2019). This method, once utilized by President Dwight Eisenhower, helps one delegate tasks into four groups of priority based on urgency and importance. Ultimately I learned from this process that I have to be very patient with myself to do truly good work.
